Cal. 44. S# 11111. Bbl 8" octagon with exposed threads. Cone type front sight. Top flat has DEC. 17, 1861 patent date. Fluted 6 shot cylinder has safety stops. High profile hammer. Blue finish with brass trigger guard. Major parts have "F". "A", "C", or "S" inspection markings. Walnut 2 piece grips, left panel has a partially visual cartouche. Estimated quantity of 6,000 mfg. in 1862. CONDITION: metal has fade to an even brown with small dents & some scattered light pitting. Grips show scatted small dents& handling marks. Tight properly functioning action. Lightly pitted bore retains sound rifling. (01-29359/DS). ANTIQUE. $1,500-2,250.
